Marriage and Family Therapist

Work with individuals, couples (heterosexual, gay and lesbian), families, teens and children on a variety of relationship, interpersonal, life transition, developmental and/or long-term psychodynamic issues. Areas of focus include: depression, anxiety, managing mid-life identity and career transitions and losses, dealing with post-traumatic stress related to childhood or teen abuse (physical, sexual or emotional,) chemical dependency and recovery, chronic illness, grief, divorce and custody issues, managing ill or elderly parents, parenting children, teens or adult children. Recently, a number of new patients (men and women) dealing with fear of intimacy or commitment, aftermath of infidelity, sexual anger and confusion, etc. I teach (mandatory) classes on Assessment and Treatment of HIV/AIDS and "Systematic Training for Effective Parenting" to parents, teachers and other therapists. Have facilitated groups of men and women living with HIV and AIDS, teen groups and groups dealing with divorce and its (positive and negative) aftermath.
