Description of Services

Our lawyers average 25 years in practice. We do other things besides Family Law - real estate, probate, contracts - a general practice. But, we specialize in family problems and resolutions. Our practice is limited to Northern Connecticut: Hartford, Litchfield, Middlesex, Windham, Tolland, and New London counties. It generally wouldn't make economic sense for you to hire us to travel out of our area of practice. The charge for travel time alone would be prohibitive. We will mediate a divorce, that is, we will offer advice to both parties, explain the law and the most likely result, given your particular situation, and help to craft a settlement agreement that is fair to all parties. If you and your spouse have come to an agreement as to alimony, custody, child support, and property/debt division, we will put that agreement into written form suitable for presentation to a court. If you feel that you and your spouse cannot come to an agreement, or if you have tried and are still poles apart, we can represent you in obtaining a result that is fair to you.
