DIVORCE MEDIATION SERVICES
Mediation is a family-centered process for conflict resolution in which an impartial third party assists the participants in negotiating consensual and informed decisions. Mediation is based on the principles of problem solving that focus on the needs and interests of the participants: fairness, privacy, self-determination and the best interests of all family members. A few of the many benefits of mediation include: Remaining in control of your life; Reducing the trauma to your family; Avoiding acrimonious or prolonged litigation; Avoiding extensive hearings before judges, court appearances or adversarial lawyers; Providing a more secure, reassuring, less stressful situation for children; and Reducing much of the expense associated with customary divorce litigation.
Michael Paprocki, has helped and guided well over 500 people through the ending of their love relationships. He specializes in Divorce Mediation, Divorce Recovery and Relationship Dynamics. He brings to his practice, lectures, groups and seminars skills taught at the Family Relations Learning Center in Boulder, Colorado and the Center for Family and Divorce Mediation, New York.

Divorce Help for Children
For children, the separation or divorce of their parents is a traumatic experience. Many feel they were the cause of the breakup. Many believe their parents will leave them, just as they left each other. Years after the divorce of their parents, children often express feelings of fear, anger and grief. It's not uncommon for them to engage in fantasies of their parents reuniting. This can lead to problems at home, in school and in their adult lives as well.
This three-part educational workshop for school-aged children and one or more of their parents provides participants with helpful information about the children's experience with separation or divorce. Valuable suggestions are offered to parents that will help them assist their children through the difficult transitions they encounter. Children will gain a better understanding of separation and divorce and will learn ways they can regain a healthy sense of control over their lives. - This workshop meets once a week for two hours over a three-week period at various locations throughout the year.
