Mr. Feinstein concentrates his practice in family law, with emphasis on divorce litigation, custody and visitation, and appeals. He enjoys an excellent reputation after having practiced for over 25 years in these areas. He has been a speaker on the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act and the Illinois Domestic Violence Act at numerous training programs for the Chicago Bar Association. He has also lectured for continuing legal education courses. His articles have appeared in several publications. Mr. Feinstein is listed in Who's Who in American Law and holds Martindale-Hubbell's highest legal ability rating. In 1993, Mr. Feinstein was successful in overturning Illinois' automatic domestic relations asset freeze law in the Supreme Court of Illinois. In 2004, he was also successful in having The Supreme Court of Illinois declare the Illinois Child Representative Statute unconstitutional. Many of his cases contain complex procedural and substantive issues and involve high-profile people.
