Confidential Help for Separated, Divorced or Divorcing Individuals

I am a Licensed Psychologist, with over twenty years of experience working with children and families. I provide individual, couples, family, and supportive group psychotherapy for parents and children who are undergoing the process of either separation or divorce.
The quality and amount of support one receives during this crucial period, can sow the seeds for the development of a healthy post-divorce adjustment. It is hard for many people to understand what it feels like when you have tried every known means to heal a shattered relationship, without success. It often helps to find a qualified mental health professional who can gently help you to move through the process of healing within a safe and confidential professional relationship.
Therapy can also be extremely beneficial for your children. Children can be seen alone, with their families or in small groups. Many children need help in order to better understand the process of separation and divorce, as well as their emotional reactions surrounding these issues. The experience of working with a therapist, and talking to other children who are experienceing similar life circumstances, will ideally enable your child to be able to maintain his or her self-esteem (as well as to continue to experience a positive identification with both parents), in the face of family disruption.
