Mark E. Sullivan is a principal of the Law Offices of Mark E. Sullivan, P.A., in Raleigh, North Carolina. He has limited his trial practice to family law since 1981 and has been certified by the North Carolina State Bar as a Family Law Specialist since 1989. He has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Town & Country Magazine, Law Weekly USA and The Raleigh News & Observer, and he has had articles published in the American Journal of Family Law, Family Law Quarterly, Family Advocate, Fair$hare, and The Practical Lawyer. Mr. Sullivan has appeared in the televised production of "The People's Law School," sponsored by the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers and in several television interviews by WRAL and WTVD in the area of family law. Mr. Sullivan is the editor of "Family Law Practice and Procedure Manual" (NC Academy of Trial Lawyers, 2000) and "Tracking Family Law" (NC Lawyers Weekly, 1991), and he has written numerous articles on trial advocacy, negotiating techniques, the use of computers, and the practice of family law. He is a frequent speaker at military and family law programs and is an annual lecturer at the Naval Justice School, Newport RI, on separation agreements, custody and family law. Mr. Sullivan is a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the Family Law Sections of the North Carolina Bar Association and the American Bar Association, the Wake County Bar Association, the Judge Advocates Association, and the Reserve Officers Association. In September, 2000, he was certified by the AAML as a family law arbitrator, and he is the past-president of the North Carolina Chapter of the AAML. He is a retired colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, and is chair of the Military Committee, ABA Family Law Section. Mr. Sullivan's book, The Military Divorce Handbook, was published in the spring of 2006 by the American Bar Association. Ms. Catherine R. Bailey joined the Law Offices of Mark E. Sullivan, P.A., in 2006. Catherine received her B.A. in Drama, with a minor in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1998. Before she attended law school, Catherine worked as a legal assistant for several years, primarily in the personal injury, collections, and bankruptcy fields. While in law school at Campbell University, Ms. Bailey served as Comments Editor on the Campbell Law Review, Executive Secretary of the Student Bar Association, and Treasurer of the Iredell Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta, an international legal fraternity. She was on the Dean's list several times during law school and awarded several scholarships. Ms. Bailey received her J.D., cum laude, from Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, in 2005. She received the Award of Distinction from the North Carolina Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers upon her graduation. After graduation, Ms. Bailey served as a law clerk to the Honorable Justice Edward Thomas Brady at the North Carolina Supreme Court before coming to work as an attorney at Sullivan & Grace, P.A. in 2006. Ms. Bailey is a member of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the American Bar Association. She is also a member of the North Carolina Association of Woman Attorneys and the Wake County Young Lawyers Division. Law Offices of Mark E.
