I was involved in the first criminal willful non-support case in Monmouth County in which the Husband was convicted and sentenced to 364 days in county jail. Sometimes I get the question, "Are you aggressive?", which makes me shake my head. Generally, people who are looking for an "aggressive" attorney are going to spend a lot more money than they need to. To me, being an aggressive attorney, is being an attorney that knows the legal issues involved and knows what steps to take to set up my client's case the correct way. Taking the right steps not only properly prepares a case for trial, but also helps prompt resolution. I try to listen to my client's goals and tailor a resolution to meet those goals. I try to give good, practical realistic legal advice. I always start my assessment of a case with how I would think a Judge would decide it.
