Dr. Butler is a psychotherapist, mediator and author. She specializes in divorce mediation, both with unmarried couples to resolve similar issues that married couples experience. She uses mediation as a non-adversarial way to resolve conflicts while keeping the focus on the future. Divorce Mediation is a way to make a settlement of all the issues involved in separation: property, finances, parenting, child support, maintenance (alimony), and other issues unique to each couple. Post-divorce re-negotiation of custody and child support arrangements can be accomplished efficiently in mediation. Dr. Butler also uses long and short-term psychotherapy with individual adults, couples, and adults and their parents/siblings. Dr. Butler specializes also in areas of anxiety disorders, depression, premarital counseling, sexual dysfunctions, sexual addiction, and substance abuse.
