Bernard Dworkin has actively practiced law for more than 40 years in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Westchester, Nassau, Staten Island, Bronx and Rockland County. Mr. Dworkin has handled hundreds of cases in all stages of liitigation including drafting of pleadings, motions, court appearances and conferences, trials and appeals. Mr. Dworkin was admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court and Federal Courts for Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Dworkin was a Law Guardian for Legal Aid Society assigned to Family Court representing abused, neglected and delinquent children. Mr. Dworkin's practice consists of, but is not limited to: divorce, mediation,separation, child custody, visitation/parenting time, child support, guardianship, spousal support/maintenance, property and debt distribution, and other related family law matters including mediation. Mediation is the best method for resolving marital disputes, but many cases are not susceptible to mediation and there are several pitfalls to avoid. Mediation will work if the parties have little or no residual anger resulting from a party's perceived notion as to why the marriage failed.
