Document summary:
The mother appealed an order denying reconsideration of an order directing her to contribute toward the college tuition expenses of her daughter. The appellate court held that the trial court had failed to consider whether changed circumstances had substantially impaired her ability to support herself and whether there was an adequate basis in the record to conclude that the mother had a duty or the ability to pay. Accordingly, the trial court decision was reversed. Foust v. Glaser, No. A-4450-99T5 (N.J. Super. Ct. App. Div. May 8, 2001).
