WASHINGTON: Barlow v. Barlow, No. 25408-5-II (Wash. Ct. App. Aug. 17, 2001). The husband appealed the trial courts property division, contending that the trial court improperly focused on the couples past losses when dividing the assets and that the division was not fair and equitable. In this case, the couple married in 1994 after living together since the late 1980s. They separated in 1996 and finally divorced in 1999.
