If you have located the obligor the next step is to find his/ her assets so that you can take them and cash them in. Using many of the same methods that you used to locate the obligor, you can locate his/her assets. The only difference is that the first time you were looking for a current address of the obligor so that you could serve him/her legal papers; now you are looking for their income or assets that you can convert into income. Contrary to popular belief, income is not only what a person earns. "Unearned income" is considered to be income as well. That is, income that is not earned through a paycheck. Examples may include:rental incomes,
Virtually everything that belongs to the obligor can be construed as income or converted into income for your usage. You just have to know where to look and what to look for.
