Grandparent Issues: Arizona

Grandparent Rights to Visitation: Either parents' marriage dissolved for at least three months, parent of the child is deceased or missing for at least three months and parent reported missing, or child born out of wedlock. A.R.S. §25-337.01.

When Adoption Occurs: Visitation rights automatically terminate upon placement for adoption unless the adoption is by a stepparent.

Child Custody Statutes: Best interest of child considering: (1) parties' wishes; (2) child's wishes; (3) interaction and interrelationship between the child and each parent, siblings and other significant persons; (4) child's adjustment to home, school and community; (5) mental and physical health of all persons involved; and (6) which parent is more likely to allow frequent and continuing contact with the other parent. A.R.S. §25-331 et seq.
