The Center for Mediated Divorce helps couples complete their divorce in a peaceful, respectful way. Guardianships Post-Order Modifications Divorce is often an emotionally-challenging and high-stress process for all parties involved. At the Center for Mediated Divorce, we facilitate a cooperative approach that ensures a smooth, peaceful process from start to finish. The Services You Need To ensure a successful outcome, we offer proven experience in every important divorce consideration: Property Division — Mediation allows the parties to negotiate an equitable division of real estate, personal property, investments, retirement accounts, pensions and stock options in innovative, creative ways as opposed to a rigid 50/50 split. Spousal Support: Wile spousal support is not awarded in every divorce case in California, when appropriate spousal support is determined by a combination of over twelve factors which every Court must consider. A few examples of the facts involve are: length of the marriage, age of the parties, education of the parties, employability of each party, health of the parties, and other factors listed in the Family Law Code. Child Support — California Child support guidelines are quite precise and are based upon the gross income of each parent, coupled with the time the child(ren) spend with each parent. The Center for Mediated Divorce uses the same computer program used by the Courts to compute child support so parents can be certain that they have complete and accurate information when discussing child support. Child Custody — Using an equitable and cooperative process, we help parents structure a custody arrangement that suits their schedules while taking into account the best interests and preferences of the child. Judith A. Williams is a recognized mediator and collaborative law attorney with 15 years of experience in all areas of family law. She has been a Panel Attorney on the Orange County Juvenile Dependency Court for 7 years, representing adoptions, foster children, and guardianships. In 2009, Judy was named one of Orange County’s Top Lawyers by OC Magazine.
