I am certified by the California Bar Board of Legal Specialization as a "Family Law Specialist" and I perform in all areas of Family Law. One of my sub specialties is with Same-Sex Relationships (LGBT), both Registered Domestic Partners and Same-Sex Marriages and including Second Parent Adoptions. Prepare Pre and Post Registration Agreements similar to Pre Nuptial Agreements, but more complicated due to the income tax issues related to the Defense of Marriage Act.

I also prepare Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements and for those, who cannot make themselves ask a prospective spouse to sign such and agreement, I offer financial counseling toward keeping separate property separate after marriage. I also prepare cohabitation agreements for those who want to reside together, but have decided not to marry or register as Domestic Partners.

Another sub-specialty of mine is litigating against the Local Child Support Agency, an outreach program of the State of California, which not only uses the Family Code, but also the Welfare and Institutions Code in their establishment and enforcement of child and spousal support orders.

Finally, I have a sub-specialty in the prosecution and defense of Contempt of Court actions. I have been appointed by the Bench Officers in eight Los Angeles County Superior Court Departments as "Alternate Defense Counsel" (paid by the county) to defend those cited for Contempt of Court when the Public Defender cannot or will not represent the City for one reason or another.

It is my policy to "always" make best efforts to settle all or as many issues as possible in a dissolution or other family law litigation, to save my client money, time, and more importantly the stress associated with family law litigation.

When necessary, I will work nights and weekends.
