Dolly received her initial training with John Haynes and Stephen Erickson, the founders of the Academy of Family Mediators and the "gurus" of divorce mediation.

She became a mediator as the result of her experiences as a facilitator for Neutral Ground and Parachute, educational and support groups for separating persons that she co-founded in 1976 and 1977. In those groups, she would often hear stories from group participants about their negative experiences (and their children’s) when the adversarial separation process took hold.

Accredited Member of the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation. Chairman of the Accreditation Review Board since 1986. Board member & Secretary for twelve years.

Certified by the Unified Court System of New York State and the Center for Dispute Settlement to do Family Court referred meditations.

Member of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators

Advanced Practitioner Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution.

Approved Consultant to mediators internationally.

Certified by the Center for Dispute Settlement in family mediation, custody/visitation mediation, community mediation, PINS mediation, Lemon Law arbitration.

A Past President, Vice President, Secretary, of the Rochester Association of Family Mediators

A practicing mediator since January, 1984. More than a thousand completed mediations. Presenter at many local, state, and national conferences, guest lecturer at Syracuse University.

Founder of PARACHUTE and Neutral Ground, support groups for separating and divorcing persons. A past presenter for ACT (Assisting Children Through Transition).

Dolly was honored at the 29th annual conference of the New York Council on Divorce Mediation in Saratoga Springs in May, 2012.

She was presented with the prestigious Abel Award “presented to a member of the NYS Council who has volunteered his or her time to the Council and its members over a significant period of time, recognizing efforts by the recipient which have helped the organization and its members advance the mission of the Council”.
