I think that's a little mean YesDad.
She's trying to step back and practice some "tough love." Her dad was the one to choose a bottle over his family. Giving him food and shelter without making him work for it and maintain sobriety was clearly just enabling him. She has supported him in the past.......she just needs to see he is working on his problems which is reasonable.
