Not many people like 50/50 custody, and in this case it wont work since he isnt willing.. That doesnt make him a bad father its just not realistic in his situation..

Why not. Why is it realistic for the wife to be primary caregiver AND be expected to work full-time, but not for him?
I think 1 year of alimony is a little cheap since he's not willing to do his fair share of the parenting. Where is her compensation for that?
