I'm a NCP with 3 children. I recently purchased a home in a neighboring town to my children’s moms. We both agreed that it was a much better school district so since September 2 of the 3 children have been basically living with me. By this I mean they have been stay with me Monday through Friday and every other weekend. During this time I have still been paying her full child support. Now after 2 months of them living with me I asked her to consider refunding some of that money to help cover expenses. Her response was that I was crazy for even asking and now is keeping them with her and driving them every morning to school and picking them up afterwards. Am I crazy for asking? I thought it was a reasonable request. In the end I don’t care about the money. It’s far more important for them to be in the better district.
