Filing CS - when do they notify NCP?

Husband just filed for child support - we've been on the other side, when kids mom had custody, but this is our first time filing. We received the letter from Texas attorney general stating they received the application and will be processing... do they notify NCP a case has been opened against them, or do they not notify them until a decision has been made?
