Just because it starts on May first when you get it will first depend on his first pay period in May. May 1st is when he starts owing. After that it can take about a week turn around from payday to CSE to you. Of course all of that depends on when the payment gets sent in to CSE. In most cases if it's being garnished you can start setting you calendar once you get the 1st check. My daughters dad's employer however likes to play games with the CS. It is April 20th, he has been paid twice this month and I haven't seen a check for April yet. (Last one I got was march 29th and that one was 2 weeks late) I might get both payments before the end of April, or I might get 3 sometime in the middle of May. I can never tell. Eventually CSE will send them a letter telling them that contempt charges will be filed and then they will be "good" for a few months sending the payment in so I have it about 5 days after payday.
To answer your real question......about a week after his first pay day in May if all goes well.
