Even if you were to get half his income it's not enough to live on. Start making some plans for the future so that you can take care of yourself. After all if he were to die in a year or 2 the question would be moot. Count any alimony that you are awarded as a bonus and fight for it if you believe in it, but do not put yourself at someone else's mercy for your support!
