I told my wife that I wanted a divorce about 3 weeks ago and she is still in the house. I realize that by law I can't make her leave. One question is: would we be considered separated once the papers are filed even though she is still in the house and how does the sleeping arrangements come into play? For instance, I work third shift, so there is only one night per week that we might sleep in the same bed, me on my side and her on her side. Does that pose a problem in deciding anything? I would really like her out of the house as soon as possible(I brought house into the marriage) Another question: Is she liable for any $$ concerning the mortgage and utilities as long as she stays under my roof? I am the one that pays the mortgage and utlities and I feel like she is taking advantage by staying there for free. Any way that I can ask for 1/2 of what I have payed while she stays there in the divorce? Thanks for any help. Bviper |
