I can see your point with the police, however they stated he wouldn't talk. But then again maybe he was sick of telling them what he knew and they were asking for more?
I would want my children with family regardless of what they thought of me UNLESS they were abusive people. I would rather have them with their grandparents (even if they thought I had something to do with my spouse's disappearance) over a foster family 100%. I know people that can put aside how they feel about the parent of their children and do what is in the best interest of the children.
At first her family didn't think he was involved, I think his behavior afterwards is what led them to second guess their initial thoughts. Also it seems as though besides child p0rn being found on the computer in the home there were supposed graphic violent sexual posters.
I cannot believe that the custody of the children going temp. to the grandparents will stick unless Powell himself is arrested for something relevant to his wife's disappearance or the charges of child p0rn.
It also seems strange that the day police broke into their home (and Dad was still out with the boys camping) that there were 2 fans being run over a "wet spot" on the rug.
