Just out of curiosity how in the world did Cassie try to "one up" anyone? Every pair of shoes is difficult to walk in. Sometimes people forget that the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence. I don't think she was saying her life is harder, just that things don't always turn out the way you plan.
No matter what your situation you suck it up. Sure it's ok to vent. My interpretation of what she said was that just because you have a spouse it doesn't always mean you get to take a break. I didn't have one when I was married and I don't have one now. I don't even have family who might or might not take my kids. The only difference is that most of mine are old enough to be alone for a few hours. I still don't take off to go play though and it's rare I even go grocery shopping alone. (I did today by leaving the house at 6:30 am before anyone was up.) That was MY break for this week.
Everyone's life has it's sucky moments. When you vent you get comments. Some you may not like. Again.....suck it up.
