Trial "WEEK" Of May 7th

As I was reviewing my documents tonight, and trying to buy plane tickets more than 2 weeks out to save on airfare, I read that my trial is "TRIAL WEEK OF 7 MAY".
I left a message for the lawyer, but have not gotten a call back..
This causes TWO problems for me:
If I have to hang around in Jacksonville ALL WEEK, that gets expensive between rental car and motel. I have over $1500/mo NEGATIVE income as it is every month, and can't afford to sit there are week.
Other problem is, my command will give me the day before and after the trial for travel. No more than three missed flying days is what I am allowed. What am I supposed to do, fly in on Sunday, hope it's Monday, and pray its over by Wednesday and catch the red eye?
I CANNOT stay in Jacksonville all week.
