You have an appointment with an attorney for what purpose exactly? Very few states have grandparent rights and if you son wants the baby he will need to step up and make arrangements - not you. You can do a third party custody but from what you describe you would not get custody of the baby - the mother would have to be endangering the child in some way - the mom being as she is will not garner you custody and if she is already saying your son won't see the baby if things do not go her way this will be an UP HILL BATTLE. If she lives with you and she in not an adult then you should be getting child support from her parents to help pay her way or at the very least the monies for her that the state provides should be coming into your household.
