I had a reality check couple of days ago when the wife called the cops. Of course I did not stick around. Slept at a friends. She was upstairs in the bedroom when I broke the plastic chair that I new was going to break. ---> You need to find out if she really called the cops and if a report was filed. In a lot of states, what occured falls under the "Domestic Violence Act" and you can be "charged"; it's also enough for her to get a Restraining Order. ---> I understand you are angry and you have every right to be angry, but you're going to have to learn to temper your anger around her. No, it's not fair that you can't destroy your own furniture if you want, but as usual, the laws have gone to the extreme (in time they will even out). I suggest that you cut firewood or take up a physical sport to work out your...um..."energy" (don't call it "anger"). |
