I don't think she prefers a person over another, it sounds more like she prefers her father's house and the lifestyle at his house. Put yourself in her shoes, where would you want to be on summer vacation? Doing book reports or watching TV?

I am not saying that your parenting style is wrong, I am not judging your parenting style but if she has more fun at dad's then she has more fun at dad's. Kids are fickle. My step son told me today that I give him all of the "hard chores" and he never gets to do anything fun. He'll get over it...as it is part of being a PITA teen/pre teen.

People without college degrees can also instill a work ethic in children, I did take that comment as being a bit elite-ist.
