For whatever reason, I can't get a free credit report without an act of congress. About 10 years ago, someone stole the computers from our health insurance, so we were encouraged to do a fraud alert. Unfortunately, they didn't do "passwords" on the fraud alerts back then. They used your home phone number for confirmation...and mine has changed. Getting them to remove the fraud alert has been a mess. But, I'm still trying to do it. It's required all kinds of documentation that I am who I am.
ANYWAY...I got my reports from freecreditreport.com. Paid I think $24 for all three. Hopefully in 3-6 months the credit bureaus will have released the fraud alert and I will be able to get a free one then to compare it to now...after I've fixed some of it.
