lol Cassie.. I'm pretty non-traditional :) Although we do decorate.. an entire day long production Sunday. Traditional decorations at least.. well kinda. DD has her own little tree and she scoffed a lot of the littler ornaments that would go on the main tree. But she didn't have a star.. so she made one.. engineered a strap to attach it. I was pretty impressed actually :)
It all works... we may not be "normal" but it works :) And she's pretty happy, except when stuff like with her father comes up. She was hysterical the other night.. HAD to move back to NY.. apparently her father told her Santa would bring her presents THERE, to his house, early. DD went to see Santa early. HUGE production of the letter this year.. Santa got a "gift" even. The first year she was willing to go, unaccompanied, to talk to Santa. Really big deal. And she expects those gifts to come to "OUR" house.. NOT to dad's. Dad has never taken her to Santa, has never asked her what she wants.. nothing. So she was all manner of upset that Santa would not bring things HERE, but bring them THERE. Got it sorted out...he (dumdum) doesn't THINK. She just annoys him/frustrates him. She's too much work. It's sad.
