We used to go to H&R block every year. And you were paying them anywhere between $200-$300 to prepare them...for something I could do at home, using their software, for free. I've been doing it myself since 2008 or 2009...saves me about $300. I've not been audited yet. The only notice we got was in October...and that was b/c BM claimed the kids on OUR year...not because we didn't go to a tax professional.
