Soooo, you got to talk to your son on the phone. I take it it was not too late to discuss the very important matter. Nothing disastrous happened because you could not talk to him immediately, but a few minutes later.
You should have said it was an emergency? If it were, I have no doubt that is exactly what you would have said, but it was not an emergency, was it?
It is the principal's job to educate, yes. It is also her job to have control, to discipline, to deal with irate parents. Teachers say the hardest part of teaching is not the students, but the parents.
And, yes, ISS DID have something to do with it, but you just wanted your way, right away.
She was in charge in that school at that time with a student who was being disciplined. You were not in charge.
