I had no problem with the alimony income on my tax return when we agreed. Problems arised due to ex owing me $19680 within one month of temp order. I just now got part of this money 6 months out of divorce. I told him, if I would have gotten this money last May when we agreed, then I would not have a problem with paying any tax liability. But you withheld this money and never got the move money of $6K. His lawyer said to him...don't pay her. So he didn't and I couldn't enforce...nothing signed. Enept lawyers caused the problems. He'll have to figure it out....but because he hates lawyers now...doubt he'll talk to one. He'll just pay because of the lying on his income tax return..by $30K and doesn't want an audit.
