Nope, sympathy wasn't in my equation as I noted that BOTH parents are living rent free with their parents and presumably have low expenses.
I didn't note that he was complaining about paying support, it seemed to me that he was simply asking if the amount sounded right based on the figures given. Using those figures, I come out with a much lower amount....but Virginia uses GROSS income as opposed to net, which are the figures he gave.
For the record -- I have an ex that has NO idea what things cost, pays no rent, utilities, etc. as his job provides him a place to live and my child support figure has remained unchanged for greater than 13 years -- but, hey, that's a whole other issue!!!!
