Actually - Overtherainbow - I wanted to mention something to you - you are totally right
Lots of times it is more about money - and good legal representation - than anything else
I have found that to be true for myself
I learned that the hard way
You know the law is so awesome and intriguing - because - once can pretty much accomplish anything they desire - if they have the right counsel representing them
Let me explain what I mean:
In my situation the following 'things' happened
- temporary custody orders granted with ss cards, and birth certificats only
- improper service (albeit legal as it was to the last DOT address on file)
- improper notificaiton of petition (petition held until statute of limitaitons expired)
- divorce was written on a 'non-married status'
- public service (72 hour broadcast in a state specific subscriber only newspaper)
- no clauses written into decree to acommodate rights for me
So clearly - my situation - is proof - that things can be done 'legally' - but certainly - unfairly - provided you have the right counsel and the right amount of cash
