Apply for jobs anyway. There's such a shortage, that most places will hire you on a "trial" basis, until you get your license. You should have been applying for jobs before you even graduated. Open your own bank accounts. Do some snooping, and find out what accounts your name is on. Make copies of any and all papers you can find. If it's an apartment, why do you need to stay there? It would make more sense if you found an apartment that you could afford on your own salary. It's a bad idea to rely on his support. He has a poor history of paying his debts. It's not uncommon to get an award for temporary support. So...when you make a decision....file immediately and ask for a temporary order for SS and CS. You can ask for that, for health insurance payments to continue, temporary custody, and residence in the marital home. BUT...AH is right....there's no saying he will actually pay it....especially if he's that stupid with money...and you all have been living beyond your means for so long. |
