White Oleander-The Movie
|
|
Has anyone seen the movie "White Oleander"? It's a great movie about a manipulative mother and how she manipulates her daughter's mind. Well, I feel that my STBX is doing the same to my boys. I have two boys, age 12 and 8. My oldest have a cell phone and his mother won't let him use it w/o her permission. So of course I cannot contact them. She won't answer the home phone or her cell phone when I call. I can only speak to my kids when I go to their school at lunch time, or every other weekend when they stay with me. This hurts me like hell, and I don't know what to do. I FEEL SO HELPLESS. I hate to call my attorney like a tattle tale and report to him everything that she does, but what do I do? My son told me that his mother said that he cannot call me. And I have noticed that when I do ask him why he won't answer his phone, or why he won't call me he's not sure of what to say. I get the feeling that he's feeling like he's caught in the middle. I'M HELPLESS GUYS.

What I got from that movie was a sence of finaly being able to forgive a bad parent for their hurtfull ways. It took a very long time for that little girl to be alright. Of course the mother in that movie is a murderess. I know it seems hopeless, but have faith, it will all work out.

Well, this might be confusing....I am sugarb to your sugar, and I, too, have sons. Maybe I should consider changing my name to eliminate confusion....anyway, the issue at hand:
Sounds as if she is deliberately impedeing upon your relationship with your sons. I can't imagine ANY harm whatsoever for a phone cqall here and there. But the best way to handle it is by calling your attny. He may just need to send her a little letter to shake her up. Sometimes, that's all it takes, you know.
Good Luck!
