spouse fund trust
|
|
Help out there. We are getting divorce and my spouse has made a list of all our assets. However, she has a trust fund set up by her mother that she can cash in two years. When we got married she already had the money trust in place. Any advise?

Not necessarily.
If it was set up BEFORE marriage, it is probably not considered as marital property. And it doesn't sound as if she's received any funds from it, so therefore there could be no co-mingling.
OP, if you can provide your state it would be very helpful.

No. A trust und is non-marital.
