Adultary!

What is the law for adultery? My spouse cought on adultery and we been separate for a year. Lately we are thing to get separated. We have child together. What is the law?

The impact adultery has on a case depends entirely on your state and its laws.

In a pure "no fault" system such as Minnesota and Wisconsin and many other midwest states have, adultery has no impact and does not affect any of the issues.

In a state which has a "fault" based divorce option, filing for divorce based on fault, such as adultery, allows the parties to avoid statutory waiting periods applicable to finalizing the divorce process. In a small minority of the states, it can affect some issues such as spousal maintenance (alimony).
