Hello! I have decided i want to divorce my wife of less then a year. How do i go about starting this? There are no children between us and she moved into my house before we got married. She demands my house and me to just leave. She does have 2 children with joint custody with her ex that live with us part of the week. What will i lose? the house has been mine for 8 years and our vehicle was bought with my IRA disbursement. I am the only one working at the present time as well. Any help to get me going in the right direction would be appreciated!

Let her demand all she wants too, but under Michigan law, the house is yours, if she did put money into it during the short time of your marriage she may request some of that back...but to recieve your home...Shes out of luck.

My wife recently told me she wanted a divorce and is telling me I have to leave. I am primary on the deed to the house and I want to know if she has a right to tell me to leave and do I have to leave.
