Taking title

I live in MN and am in the process of buying a home. My lender would not accept my husband on the loan due to his horrible credit, but I am taking the loan on myself. I'm agonizing whether to take title as joint tenancy or sole and separate property - if the mortgage is in my name does he have any claim to the home either way?

The house belongs to both of you, regardless of whose name the deed or loan are in.
