IRS e-file signature authorization

Yes, I signed her name to one for a joint tax return or Federal and NYS tax again and had the refund money deposited into my bank account...
She found out again and spoke to the tax preparer who knowingly let me do it again...
She is pissed! I told her she doesn't get any because it is my money because I paid the taxes! She has no income so she isn't entitled to it!

Re: IRS e-file signature authorization

She (the x) told me she can get me for :

Identity theft(because I used the last four digits of her SS number for a pin for the e-file signature), tax fraud, forgery.....She said she will charge the tax preparer for the same thing!

I told her ....NO one cares!

The IRS does. She doesn't even need the court on this one, she can go directly to them. If she does, you are screwed.

The court would also care but expect the IRS to remove the return from your account while they figure things out.

really and how long does it take them to figure everything out?

My lawyer said I can prove tacit consent because we were always doing joint returns for the past 22 years!

She says "its considered a fraudulent return because I signed her name to the Form 8879 and used the last 4 numbers of her social security number as a pin for her signature to submit the joint return"...is this correct?

The CPA was the one who submitted it, I gave him the okay!

Re: Yes_Dad

Even if she can't go after you, you can sue the CPA (for malpractice) who knew the 2 of you were no longer together.

The IRS can freeze your bank accts w/o a hearing beforehand and can send you to federal prison for tax fraud.

Um, tell your lawyer he's a dumbass. You're going through a divorce - tacit consent no longer exists, LMAO.

That <fwip fwip> sound you hear? Is the IRS putting on the surgical gloves before going through every orifice in your body looking for cash. Bend over buddy - its going to hurt.

The laughing sound is your exwife.

Stuck-

I didn't expect you back here after I discovered the additional inconsistency about your case (specifically that the public records say you have a female lawyer yet you've stated you have a male lawyer.)

This is on top of the other inconsistencies you've previously stated. I personally love the one where your Asperger's son aged two years in a few months.

You are a troll... please go away.

Re: IRS e-file signature authorization

You seriously think anything a lawyer says is going to help, yours or hers...they are skittering to their holes trying to keep you two from seeing malpractice.
As for the IRS..A guy across the street, took returns meant for support and signed his ex's or soon to be ex's name, they came, guns drawn, and loaded up his whole house, including duck blinds and lawn chairs...that man stood out in the street crying with his new poor kids around him..the only reason he wasn't hauled off too that day..they don't mess around...not nowadays...when everyone is scraping by.. and NO ONE SIGNS SOME ELSES NAME TO A MONETARY INSTRUMENT PIN NUMBER OR ANY OTHER WAY...ADULT PRESERVATION 101..STUPID!!!!..The IRS, Are you kidding me? Criminal embezzlers would get jeebies reading that.
If you are for real and really did that be afraid, very afraid, or pay off the wife and try to hush her up..but if the IRS has it..from a former federal employee...Your Screwed. Get a tax lawyer, if you can find one to represent you.

Stuck BRAGS about his fraud! He's wearing it as a badge. It'll all catch up to him, it's just a matter of when. We won't be hearing from him when that happens, I'm pretty sure.

He better get a big big badge over his bung hole if the IRS is coming? They are a world of hurt all in their own. Ask Nicolas Cage and Wesley Snipes. Don't care how tough you are? Even Willy couldn't give them horses beer for a looong time. I almost feel sorry for you. Sheeez....

They have the power to issue wage garnishments without a court order. Never, ever screw with the IRS

CPA malpractice

How can she sue the cpa for malpractice when I never told him we were divorcing...she said she did the first time it happened and the cpa told her he didn't know, so she argued with him "Do you always let a spouse sign a joint tax return without the other spouse present?"...thats unethical of you, you should lose your license." Then the cpa told her "I dont want to get involved with this, I have too many deaths and other things going on in my life...I didnt know, so I'm not responsible...its all your husbands fault."

Aiding and abetting

X just told me that my lawyer can be charged with aiding and abetting me with committing a crime of forgery of tax returns because my lawyer knew I forged x's signature on tax returns to get money and my lawyer told me to testify in court that I used the money to pay household expenses without any proof that I did and it happened twice already. She also said the authorities will be suspicious of her lawyer also, since he didnt do anything?
