Quote " I'll be honest, I wouldn't respond to an online posting if a guy said he expected to go dutch all the time. That does not mean I have any problem with going dutch.....it does mean that I think talking about finances when you are supposed to be putting your best side forward is rather tacky. "
Just to be clear, for a man to " put his best side forward means he PAYS..."
And what does a woman do ? Get all gussied up ? Makeup, shave her legs, silk stockings, high heels ?? Why isn't a WOMAN who offers to pay half " putting her best side forward ? "
My fiance did exactly that on our first date, I did not let her, but I sure appreciated the sentiment. The offer showed ma a LOT about her character, which english C()NT certainly wouldn't understand.

Did you read the rest of that thread ?
Did I say a woman should not offer to pay half ? No
Did I mention that more often than not I paid for the entire date ? Yup
Did I repeatedly say that my issue with someone discussing finances in an online dating profile is that it's rude to bring up that early ? Yup. It's important to let your partner know which sexual positions you prefer and which practices cause discomfort, but NOT before the first date.

LOL, I don't think I ever saw this.
Yregna, I paid half and all many times when I was dating ex. The fact that he made a good deal more money than I did not change my mind. Dinner cost the same regardless of the difference in salaries. If I couldn't afford it, I'd tell him so. Either he would pay or we'd stay home and cook.

Finz, Your excuse is weak at best...You'd be better off admitting your mistake and backing up...
You PREFER a man who offers to pay, and you denigrate a man who requires you to pay HALF, period. Well, so does a prostitute. The difference is she is clear about the service offered up front, and she doesn't require lifetime support after the session is over. She may or may not be as " professional " as you during, that I don't know...Sometimes amateur but heartfelt enthusiasm counts for a lot...

I prefer a real man who doeesn't think he can control my finances before he even dates me.
I don't think you need to worry about my performance in the bedroom.......not like you'll ever get to find out

Finz, You are doing a good job defending the indefensible. Study history of the Rural South in the US before the Civil War. The parallel between what YOU say about divorce law and males, and what plantation owners say about black people is amazing.
