I am being denied visitation without a court order....2 weekends ago my X did not show up at our pickup spot no answer when I called ...I went to courthouse on the following monday and filed a contempt of the court order for denial of visitation....which takes time to get a court date...well yesterday(friday) came my scheduled weekend and she did not show again.. I did get a text message a hour after we were suppose to meet saying " you are not having access to girls per my attorney " Can she do this??? without a court order???

What do you mean by Denying you visitation "without a court order"? Denying you visitation means she is in contempt of an existing court order. At any rate, filing for contempt is your recourse.

Yeah, she can do that, but she risks losing custody because it's contempt. Keep documenting everything and if she keeps doing it, ask for custody based on her lack of co-parenting and visitation denial.

Newsflash TNT, THEY ARE NOT YOUR, AND THEY NEVER WERE...That is why she has custody. If you were married, you have LESS RIGHTS than a sperm donor. Sorry, that is the law.

Married and divorce men need to hear the truth, you can invest a ton of time and energy in being a good and loving father to your children, OR you can ignore the kids and screw women on the side to piss off your wife.
During divorce, BOTH MEN GET TREATED THE SAME. I'm sorry, but that is the law. MEN are ALLOWED to be good father's and husbands by WOMEN. Women can initiate divorce any time they want, and take the kids away from the father, that is the law. Pretending the law is fair and equal, just because you are a good father and love your children is stupid.

Her attorney is telling her to disobey a court order? Hmmm. And I'm guessing her attorney has not contacted your attorney on record? That doesn't seem right. My only guess is that an abuse allegation is coming. I can think of no other reason.

Simply not true. My ex was a stay at home mom from the time our son was born till the time she filed for divorce. She pulled some pretty rotten crap during the divorce. Denying me visitation included. The judge made a finding of parental alienation, with me as the target. I got sole custody of my son. It was ordered that my ex have no contact with my son until the court ordered psychologist gave a recommendation. 10+ months later, she's finally being reunited with him. I am and will remain the custodial parent, with sole right to make all educational and medical decisions concerning him. She pays child support to me. She's not insane, nor a drug attic. She's a highly intelligent, college educated women who decided to play dirty. Bottom line is, the courts have no tolerance for a woman who uses a child as a pawn in a divorce. At least not in Williamson County, TX.
