i just found out my stbx is encouraging his mistress to get a restraining order against me. I've never even spoken to her and I live on the opposite coast. what are the grounds for a restaining order? anyone know?

It could be that there would be no telephone communication. BUT, most likely it will never happen. It's not like you are a physical threat to her.

Well what are her grounds? Are you calling her job? Her boss? That would/could be considered harassment. I filed an "injunction against harassment" in AZ for my H's ex wife who lived in NM. I had her served with it and it basically stated that she could not contact me by phone or thru a third party. I could have then pursued action in her state, but it was not worth the time or trouble.

i'm pissed as hell that he would encourage her to do this! (i read an email last night from him to her) it was like, i love you baby, can't wait til this is over, if you feel safer w/ a restraining order then i'll stand by you, she'll take it out on me but i don't care i love you so much......
I'm about to flip the hell out. Any advice on not going crazy! (oh, and I just got to look through all their vacation photos in Florida) AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHH!

I don't know where she works. I've NEVER spoken to her.
I honestly think he's convinced her that i'm out to get her.
It makes him look like he's leaving me for a reason.
