Hi,
I know my ex is a 1LT in the Army Reserves and that he reinlisted in October/November - He recently took me to court to get his child support lowered and it was not. However, he is filing motions for reconsideration. He did not even include Army Reserves Pay on Financial Statement - I am not looking for an increase just want more justification as why it should stay the same. He currently owes over $6,000 in arrears.
Thanks!

1. Officers don't reenlist.
2. Can you call his unit and ask? What state is he in?
3. Look up army locators and see if you can call the 1-800 number. I have personally used it before, however the folks I looked for were active duty.

Thanks for the leads - Are you sure that Officers do not reinlist? He specifically told me he got a bonus for signing backup?

Enlisted Personnel enlist- hence the word reenlist. Officers have a "service commitment". Semantics...I know.

This one may even be better

Renlistments are for people in the army who have less than ten years now. Anyone over the 10 year mark also has a service commitment.

So in the Army, officers enlist? Officers commission and take service commitments after that.
In the AF we reenlist every four to six years depending on terms. My husband reenlisted a Chief last month in Iraq- a fast burning E-9. I think he was at 18 years.

I should have said enlisted personnel under 10, I doubt an E9 has reenilisted in the Army in the last 10 years, they changed it quite awhile ago for enlisted in the Army. If your over 10 years, one enlistment and thats it, and it is indefinite, you no longer have a hard ETS date, except for your retention control point.

So in the Air Force, spouses reenlist :)

Well seeing that I was actvie duty enlisted for over 6 years I include myself in the "we". Since my husband is an officer he does not enlist.

Exactly and seeing as how I was talking about reenlisting, I was not talking about officers.
