A Call From CSE Today...
      #158132 - 10/17/06 05:58 PM

I got some very goods news today. I took all of the advice I was given here very seriously and one of you had suggested from the start that I try writing a letter to my local/state politicians, looking for help. Because after I tried turning for help through CSE in this matter, I was met with a lot of resistance from a caseworker there. The caseworker was very unpleasant with me, even to the point of downright rude and instead of getting help, all it did was get me even more upset after talking to her. This did not help matters or the situation at all, in fact only made matters worse.

In my frustration, I took the advice from here to heart, figured that I had nothing to loose and sent a letter to my local Congresswoman and then also to the Governor of VA. I had not heard anything back yet, had not even expected too at this point, when today I got a call from a supervisor at CSE. The supervisor who called was extremely kind, caring, compassionate and wanted to see what she could do to help and ease my mind and answer any questions I still had.

It seems the letter to the Governor's office was forwarded to her office, to be looked into, followed up on and taken care of. Even better, it seems after this CSE supervisor got my letter from the Governor's office, read it, a letter from CSE was immediately sent to my ex-h. In that letter it stated directly, from CSE, that he must submit his new employment information to them right away. The supervisor called today to let me know all of this and that my ex-h has now responded to them, with all of his information and a new garnishment order will now be submitted to his new employer, as soon as possible. Hip, hip hurray!!! I wanted to share the good news in all of this. It paid to be persistent and not give up! Thank you again everyone. I may not have ever done this, if not encouraged to.

Hugs to all,
Lori

That is so wonderful. Isn't it great when being an advocate for yourself and your children and doing the right thing pays off? Sometimes it seems like the bad guy gets all the breaks.

Here is to insurance info soon and the CS checks to be on time so you can keep moving ahead and take care of your children without the unnecessary drama and stress he seems to enjoy creating.

Hanging in there and dealing with each piece of bad news as it comes! My mom died on Memorial Day and the news with my son gets worse every doctor visit. This is his senior year and should be a happy time. Now he has had to start taking a drug every day, twice a day, that he will take the rest of his life or until a kidney transplant. He hates the idea because he knows that this is just the beginning of the long decline before the transplant. It breaks my heart.

Thanks for asking. My granddaughter is wonderful and my son still has his same wonderful girlfriend, almost 2 years now so that helps him a lot.

It is good to see government actually helping the people who really need it, and right things happen. Its refreshing to hear good news.

I'm so sorry Anne! I know you had your battles with your sister and your mom at times, but regardless a parent can't ever be replaced. I know it has to be a very hard loss for you. I am sorry to hear about your son's health too. I had hoped beyond hope that he was doing better. You will both be in my prayers.

Do you still have my e-mail address? If not, PM me and I will send it to you.

Many hugs,
Lori

It was very refreshing. I wish I could deal with this supervisor from now on, if I should ever need help again. I'm sure the caseworker who I had problems with, isn't going to be very thrilled to talk to me again, after my letter.

P.S. I'm sure my ex-h isn't very thrilled right now either... I wonder if he knows what brought about his getting this letter from CSE now. I'm hoping not, because if he doe know, he will more than likely find another way to retaliate. Hopefully he will just realize that CSE is on top of things (with a little help) and he needs to finally cut out all the crap. I hope so. That would be the most refreshing thing of all!
