Go stick your head in the toilet and flush several times.

Slap yourself, that wasn't funny.

What kind of alternate world do you REALLY live in?

I have those days too. It really bothers me when the kids say they want to spend time with Dad even though he is abusive...but I just have to remind myself that during their visits there ARE times when he's NOT that way and they have fun playing outside etc. They have the pool and swingset and electric humv among other things over there. My DD4 (3 at the time) made me realize the reality of why they like being there...one day I asked her why she didn't want to come home and she said "cause Daddy's house has swings and ours doesn't" so I try to keep that in mind. I personally keep remind myself of all the time my stbx told me that I would never make it on my own without him...so it fuels me to stay OUT of victim mode and kick into "getting on with my life" mode. I also sometimes go back and read the journal I've been keeping since I moved out and it reminds me WHY and how better off I am now, to hell with what he thinks. As for your ex thinking that what he did was ok...he ALREADY DOES., regardless of your mentatility at any given time. If he didn't he never would have done it to begin with. Don't worry about what he thinks...worry about you and your child!

And you would know that because... [Re: yregna]

...you're actually a bitter woman who receives nothing because that's precisely what you contributed to the marriage and the children, right?

What me worry. I'm retired!
