Fruit Loops
      #65890 - 01/16/06 09:59 PM

There is always a lot of talk on this board (and in personal chats) about the word "time". It takes time to get over someone, it takes time to get over the divorce, it takes time before you want to start dating again. That dreaded word and enemy "time". Oh Lord, how I hate that word, being the impatient person that I am.

Tonight as Kim and I were chatting we decided to call that word something else. I suggested cheerios, but Kim veto'd me with fruit loops. So I hear by declare that nothing takes anymore time. It takes fruit loops! Doesn't that sound so much more fun? All it will take now to get over my x so is fruit loops. (how can you help but laugh?)

I'm not trying to make light of anyone's siutation or heartache but the next time someone says "Dear it just takes time". You can smile to yourself and think "Nope, it takes fruit loops!"

Sounds good to me, because I think we're all a little "fruit loops" around here. LOL!

I am definitely the lime ones, thanks to you. You have no idea how many comments and questions I've gotten at work about my lime towel! One of them is there for me to see every single day (sometimes it's been through tears) to give me strength and to think about you Ginnistrawberry and everyone else on this board who has helped me. I love you all and that's why the old enemy word is no longer allowed here and Fruit Loops (which is so much more fun) has replaced it.

It's all the same to me. Fruit Loops were one of my LEAST favorite cereals as a child. LOL.

I could never tell the difference bewteen Fruit Loops and Trix they were both yukky to me. Artificial fruit flavors and colors...ew-w-w-w. I was a Rice Crispies and banana girl...or cornflakes...or anything that wasn't sugared, except maybe Sugar Crisp. And shredded wheat! Loved it! Soaked it in milk and let it get soggy.

I'd rather have my sugar intake in chocolate!

Fruit Loops is (are??) a good term. So, what is the conversion factor, you know, like English to metric. Is one fruit loop equal to a minute? hour? second??

Oh Geez [Re: SteelersJR1]

What a man! Do we always have to bring math into everything? It's like Yitterday. My little ones used to beg to go to this water park in Utah. My big girls and I would tell them we'd go...on Yitterday. Worked like a charm.

Go play with your calculator.

Love always,
ginni

Yitterday-I like it! When my son was a few years younger, and trying to convey past or future, he'd say "the day that way" & point to the right for yesterday, or to the left for tomorrow. Funny how kids determine their own recognition of past & future!

But, if we're talking fruit loops, maybe the different COLORS have different time meanings: green could be a day, blue a minute, etc. So then all you'd have to say is "sigh, honey, that's going to take 25 greens & 13 1/2 blues, with maybe, just maybe, a yellow or two thrown in." Think?

Love,
Geoff
